Douglass – Jon Stuart Coatney, 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Jon was born on July 21, 1944 in Iola, Kansas to Ray I. and Della (LeFebvre) Coatney.  He married Marianna Babiuch on October 30, 1972 in Kansas City Missouri.  Jon had worked as a Manager for Western Union.  He was married to Marianna for 48 years.  Jon loved sports and enjoyed cigars on Saturdays with his friends at Old Town Cigars.

Jon is survived by his wife Marianna; children Julia (Kelly) Wisecup of Ooltewah, TN and Jon R. Coatney of Andale, KS; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson Braxton Dotson, his brother Jeffery Coatney, brother-in-laws Bob Dunphy and Joseph Babiuch.

Private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
