Hattie Lula Frye, 85, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Hattie was born February 27, 1929, to Homer and Martha (Currier) Warren. She married Gale Frye, they were married for 44 years. Hattie was a Registered Nurse and worked for nursing homes throughout her career. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, reading, camping, and canning.
Her survivors include her sister Doris Torix, of Sacramento, California; grandchildren, Jack and his wife Linda Sloderbeck of Augusta, Kansas, Amy and her husband Derek Edwards of Omaha, Nebraska, Gale and her husband Bryan Masten of Derby, Kansas, Toni Ploense of California, James "Bo" and his wife Nancy Bernardo of Derby, Kansas; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughters Carolyn Sloderbeck, Kathryn Zlomke, brothers Wilbur and Royal, sisters Ruth, Elizabeth and May.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, from 1-7 p.m. with family being present from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Funeral services will be Monday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Haverhill Christian Church. Internment will take place at the Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, Kansas.
Memorials have been established with the Cancer Center of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
