Morain, George Epelett, 84, retired Ironworker for Wichita Local 606, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Kansas Soldiers Home at Fort Dodge.

He was born April 12, 1925 to Leland and Ocie (Osburn) Morain in Mound Valley, Kansas and married Alta May on July 6, 1956.

George served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He enjoyed gardening and always enjoyed being together with his family.

He was a member of the Cumberland Community Bible Church and later the First Christian Church in Winfield.

Survivors include his daughters Shirley (Joe) McNulty of Gardner and Diana (Jerry) Lawson of Augusta; sister Viola Guier of Winfield; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
