Lann, George H., 96, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013.

George was born March 18, 1916, to Frank William and Hilma Victoria (Olson) Lann in Axtell, Kansas. He is a graduate of Bethany College. George married Esther Josephine Stenfors on September 6, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri. He retired from Sterling Drug/Winthrop Laboratories as a pharmaceutical chemist.

Survivors include his son and wife, John and Donna Lann of Wichita; daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Paul White of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Martha and Keith Travis of Coeymans, New York; daughter-in-law, Nancy Lann of Winfield, Kansas; a sister, Marie Hodgkinson of Yorktown Heights, New York; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents; spouse; son, Frank W. Lann II; brother, Waldemar Lann; sisters, Irma Lindquist, Lucille Johnson, Josephine Knicely and a great-grandson, Elliott William Boren.

A memorial service will be at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1101 North River Blvd, Wichita 67203, on Friday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery.
