Pierce, Evelyn Illene (Davis), 85, retired nurse, passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2010.
Evelyn was born on November 14, 1924, to Frank and Mary (Anderson) Davis in Midian, Kansas. She married J.C. Pierce, August 6, 1948 in Yates Center, Kansas.
Her survivors include her son James (Diana) Pierce of Augusta; grandchildren Jon (Dana) Pierce, Stephanie (Rick) Anderson; great-grandchildren Kelli, Skylar, Garrett and Molly; one great-great-grandson Brice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; son Clinton Pierce; brother Franklin Davis; sisters Alberta Kinney, Velma Kissire and Mildred Allen.
Viewing will be from 9-1 on Friday, March 26, with a graveside service also on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery using the 12th Street entrance.
A memorial has been established with First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, Kansas 67010 or in care of the funeral home.
