Nordman, Eugenia Jane, 86, of Augusta passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014.
Eugenia was born December 7, 1927, to Edgar "E.D." and Verna Kathryn (Kappelmann) Kessner in Ernestville, Missouri. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1945. She married Robert "Bob" Nordman on May 25, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta, Kansas. They were married for 57 years. Eugenia worked for White Eagle Credit Union and Mobil Oil Refinery as a purchasing agent. Eugenia was a lifelong musician and played the organ for Christ Lutheran Church for 73 years. She was a member of Tabitha at the church as well as a member in the Soroptimist Organization. She enjoyed activities with her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her son Troy and wife Nancy Nordman of Augusta, Kansas; daughters Shelly and husband Keith Meyer of Augusta, Kansas, Danielle and husband Paul Smith of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters Myra Dene Clark of Augusta, Kansas, Phyllis and husband Loren Roberts of Shell Knob, Missouri; grandchildren Tiffany and husband James Gillespie of Augusta, Kansas, Ryan and wife Kari Meyer of Wichita, Kansas, Abby and husband Cody Phillips of Lexington, Virginia, Tyler Nordman of Highland, Kansas, Nicholas and wife Taylor Nordman of Augusta, Kansas, Kathryn Nordman of Augusta, Kansas, Jordan Smith of Valley, Nebraska, Ian Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, and Conner Smith of Omaha, Nebraska.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation will be Monday, November 24, from 1-7 p.m. with family being present from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
Memorials have been established with the Christ Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
