Augusta – Eric Robert Smith, 54, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Eric was born on Tuesday, March 21, 1967 in Muskegon, Michigan to Robert and Rita (Mussman) Smith.  Eric served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from the Kansas Air National Guard in 2015.  He served as a Police Officer with the Wichita Police Department from 1995 until 2007.  He received his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati.  Eric was united in marriage to Stacie Poston on October 10, 2001.

Eric is survived by his wife Stacie of Augusta; children Sarah Greiner of Wichita, Kirsten Smith of Wichita, Eric Smith II of Overland Park; mother Rita Smith; brothers Clint and wife Toni Smith and Stuart and wife Kristen Smith.

Eric is preceded in death by his father Robert.

Memorial Service will be on Friday, December 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
