Eric Dale Caster, 88, of Douglass, Kansas, passed away on July 29, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.

Eric was born on January 5, 1935 to Victor and Grace (Meade) Caster in Sedgwick, KS.

Eric worked as a plumber, farmer, and rancher throughout his life. He enjoyed horse racing, working cattle, and scratch-off tickets. He made sure to catch as many episodes of Wheel of Fortune as possible. Eric and Sue would have been married 70 years this October.

Eric is survived by his wife Sue of the home, daughter Rebecca Tate; sons Cliff and wife Cassie Caster and Wes Caster; grandchildren Jason, Mindy, Jesse, Brody, Kolby, Misty, Summer, and Tracy; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; brother Jim and wife Marci Caster, sisters, Shirley Rush, Charlotte and husband Richard Trent and Sudie and husband Bryce Wanless.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Larry Caster, Doris Belknap, Delores Ewing and Dixie Lee Caster.

Visitation will be Monday August 7th from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Funeral services will be Tuesday August 8th at 10:00 a.m. at the Three Wooden Crosses Church of Augusta. Burial will follow at the Douglass Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, left in care of Dunsford Funeral Home.
