Reverend Eldridge James McHatten, 75, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Eldridge was born on Sunday, December 10, 1944 in Temperance Vale, New Brunswick, Canada to Richard Barry and Jeanette (Cole) McHatten. Eldridge married Daphne Matthysen on May 20, 1965 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  He was the minister of Members in Christ.  Eldridge was a handyman and he loved to travel, play his guitar and write songs and spending time outdoors.  As a pastor he loved to preach and teach the gospel under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  In his younger years he did missionary work in South Africa where biblical miracles took place and were witnessed by many.  As a husband and father he was always kind and loving.  A carpenter by trade he loved wood working and building things with his hands.  He loved to laugh and would light up the room.  Eldridge was a kind soul who would help anyone.  He loved his family dearly.  Most of all he loved God and was truly a man of prayer.

Eldridge is survived by his wife Daphne; children Samuel (Bobbi) McHatten of Augusta, Thomas (Selena) McHatten of Wichita, Clayton (Stephanie) McHatten of Valley Center and Talitha Anderson of New Brunswick, Canada; siblings Norma Warren of New Brunswick; Minerva Fullerton and Emily Hood both of Crosscreek, New Brunswick; grandchildren Caleb Anderson, Nathan McHatten, Micah Anderson, Jessica Anderson, Abigail Huynh, Ashley McHatten, Timothy McHatten, Melissa McHatten, Danielle McHatten and Dominic McHatten.

Eldridge is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Greta Morehouse, Merna Warren, Delmont and Richard McHatten.

Visitation with family will be on Friday, September 4 ^th from 5-7 p.m.at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5 ^th at Berean Assembly, 1215 West Carey Lane, #2723, in Wichita.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Berean Assembly, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
