El Dorado – Edwina Jewell Garrigan, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Edwina was born on Wednesday, September 26, 1956 in Wichita, KS to David E. and Roberta (Nelson) Calvin.  She loved spending time with family and friends.  She had a talent for growing all kinds of plants.  Her yard was often decorated with silly, fun-looking yard art that was sure to bring a smile from all who saw it.  She liked to describe them as "So ugly they were cute."  One of her favorite pastimes was 'junk shopping.'  She found and collected many unique items, proving one man's junk truly is another man's treasure.  She loved children and had a way of becoming Grandma Wina to every neighborhood kid, spoiling them all with popsicles, candy and junk food.  Edwina moved to South Dakota and lived in several small towns, mostly in the Black Hills, for many years.  She developed a love for the scenery and beauty there and made many meaningful friendships before returning to Kansas to be closer to family.  Her ornery spirit and stubborn ways are just as memorable as her great, big loving heart.

Edwina is survived by her sons Robert (Stephanie) Cyrus and Kenneth (Kim) Cyrus; grandchildren Tearra, Sean, Caitlin, Jerod and Madison; great-grandson Luka; siblings Ivonna Clark, Janet (Frank) Hall, Janice Reece, Tina Vanderman, David Calvin, Donald (Nancy) Calvin, Renee (Jeff) Morris; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

Edwina is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Garrigan, her parents, her sister Joyce Shamhart, and brothers Wesley Lanham and Larry Lanham.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
