Edith C. Marbut, 90, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at Lake Point Nursing Home in Augusta on Monday, March 27, 2023. She had met many friends at Lake Point, including the residents and staff.

Edith was born on Thursday, November 3, 1932 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Everett and Mildred Sera (Brown) Jackson. Edith worked as a stay-at-home mom and raised three kids. Edith was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta. When able Edith was involved in many church activities. Edith enjoyed spending her time cooking and working with flowers.

Edith is survived by her son, Raymond L. (Shelly) Marbut of Augusta; daughter, Trenda (Patrick) Lundin of Augusta; grandchildren, Faith Lundin, Sarah Lundin, and Michael Lunnam.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy; and son, Larry E Marbut.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29th from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 30th at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
