Wichita - Douglas Alan Johnston, 69, passed away at his home on Monday, June 20, 2016. Doug was born July 24, 1946 to Noah and Pauline (Webster) Johnston in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. He married Paulette Baum on August 5, 1966 in Augusta. Doug served his country in the National Guard. He owned Doug Johnston's Floor Covering for over 20 years. Doug enjoyed gardening, feeding squirrels, wood working, fishing, watching fox news, and supervising others. He also loved to watch K-State and the Royals play as well as spending time at his cabin in Fall River with friends and family.

Doug is survived by his wife Paulette of the home; daughter Joey and husband Todd Patterson of Augusta; son Tony Johnston of Augusta; accepted daughter, Jill Young; best friend Warner Harrison; brothers Robert and wife June Johnston of Wyoming, David and wife Beverly Johnston of Augusta; grandchildren Alicia Johnston and Andy Shepherd, A.J. Patterson and Claire Dykstra, Adam Johnston, Aydan Patterson and Kaitlyn Little, Ashton Hentzen and Amber Bahr.

He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held June 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Memorials may be made out to the Greenwood County Parks Department, left in care of the funeral home.
