Obituary

Ft. Scott - Dorothy "Deany" Johnston, 90, went to be with Jesus on October 22, 2017.

Dorothy was born on October 15, 1927 at the Augusta Hospital on Santa Fe Street in Augusta, Kansas to Ollie George and Lenah Jane (Woolery) Seaburn.  Dorothy had previously worked in Dispatch for Boeing in Wichita, Insurance Claims for St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Delinquent Accounts for Western Auto in Kansas City, MO, and various other jobs.  She loved to make reproduction porcelain dolls, coin collecting, stamp collecting, genealogy research, music and signing.  She especially loved going to family gatherings and visiting with her cousins, siblings and family members.

Dorothy is survived by her children Karyl Kirkpatrick Johnson (Larry) of Augusta, KS, Dee Duncan Regina (Bill) of Ft. Scott, KS;  grandchildren Allison Ambrogi, Tami Bryan, Cherry Cantwell, Kris Dilli, Lisa Drown, Donald William Kirkpatrick Jr., Kevin Kirkpatrick, Amy Stuteville, Donnie Stuteville, James Regina and Sarah Sahnd; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings Nelva Seaburn Wentz and Lucille Seaburn Ewart; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her sons Daryl Kirkpatrick and Donald William (Bill) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren James Stuteville, Tammy Hall and Jay Kirkpatrick; and her brother William Edward Seaburn.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26th from 1:00-2:00 p.m.  Funeral services will take place following visitation at 2:00 p.m. both at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery also in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to Medical Lodge Ft. Scott Holiday Fund, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
