Doris Elizabeth Herron, 90, passed away on March 25, 2015. Doris was born on March 24, 1925 in St. Louis, MO to Harry and Nellie (McMurtry) Standley. Doris married Alva Herron on August 8, 1943.
Doris is survived by her daughter Tracey and her husband Todd Reed of Rose Hill, KS; sons Don and his wife Linda Herron of Austin, TX, Dale and his wife Jenne Herron of Wichita, KS, Jim Herron and his wife Augusta of Augusta, KS; 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren; and brother Eddie Standley of Wichita, KS.
Doris was a housewife and loved to iron. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved country music.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
