Donald "Don" Allen Jones, 74, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Don was born on Thursday, November 24, 1949 in Great Bend, Kansas to Clifford and Nadine (Book) Jones.

Don was united in marriage to Frankie Sue Melott on July 29, 1995. They were married for over 29 years until Don's passing.

Don worked many jobs throughout his life, some include owning his own construction company and being a Steris Corporation Specialist, maintaining hospital equipment throughout all Kansas hospitals.

Don loved horses and music. However, what Donald cherished the most was his wife and their grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife Frankie of the home.

Children: Larry and wife Beth Jones of Severy, KS, Terry and wife Amy Bell of Cheyenne, WY, Christi and husband Mike Wiens of Wichita, KS, Tammy and husband Steve Young of Ponca City, OK.

Grandchildren: Cody Jones, Jeffrey Light, Jaden Rabenseifner, Jesse Young, MacKenzie Hebb, Erin Jones, Nolan Bell, and Kaylee Bell;

Great-grandchildren: Gunner Jones, Waylon Rabenseifner, and Ripten Jones.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, PFC Stephen "Andy" Young.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22nd from 5 – 7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 11 a.m. at Haverhill Christian Church, 10275 SW Haverhill Rd., Augusta, KS 67010.
