Debra Renee Applegate, 64, passed away on October 14th, 2023.

Debra was born on May 24, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas to Marvin and Edna (Watson) Cox. Debra was united in marriage to Calvin C. Applegate II on August 8th , 1981 in Augusta, Kansas. Debra worked as a food specialist for the Augusta Hospital, and for over 23 years in the Andover School District. Debra enjoyed traveling, ceramics, dolls, cooking, she was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader and Cub Scout Master for many years, she was a friend to anyone and loved camping with her family.

Debra is survived by her husband, Calvin; Mother Edna Cox; Children, Shane Applegate, Kyle Applegate, and Ashley Applegate; sister Carylon (Allen) Abel; grandchildren, Jack Crosby, Jenna Crosby, Karsyn Pool, Jason Breig, Kellan Lawrence, Kenzie Applegate and Kylus Applegate; special friend, Kathy VanWeire; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Debra is preceded in death by her father, Marvin; brother, Steven; father-in-law Calvin C. Applegate I; mother-in-law, Marian "Mimi" McNeil; and nephew, Nicholes Applegate.

Visitation will be Friday October 20th from 5-7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Funeral will be October 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Freedom Church of Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Girl Scouts of America, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
