David Michael Shumake, 43, of Augusta, Kansas passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

David was born on September 9, 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

David was known for his love of fishing and the Kansas City Chiefs.

A true entertainer. David lit up the room with his witty sense of humor and charismatic personality.

He is survived by his son, Bentley Shumake; mother, Tammy Mitchell of Augusta, KS; Michael Shumake, of Moore, OK; sister, Gayla and husband James Hewitt of Harrah, OK; sister, Amy and husband Kevin Crowell of Wichita, KS; nephews, Corbin Garrison, Talin Garrison, Austin Garrison, Brent Lewis; niece, Kylee Jenkins. As well as many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Frank Mitchell.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
