David William Owen, 69, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

David was born in Council Grove, Kansas on Thursday March 14,1957 to Dorwin Owen and Donna Owen (Lawrence).

David was a veteran of the United States Air Force for 19 years, working as a firefighter and hospital administrator. He was also in the Kansas Army National Guard for 6 years working as infantry.

David enjoyed/loved choir, devotion classes, movies-science fiction, dinosaurs, comedy, and country westerns, country music, fishing, hunting, hiking, playing games, dancing, and the Wichita Riverfest.

David is survived by his wife, Teresa Owen of Augusta; daughters, Angelica Marie Owen and Catrina Hailey Owen; sisters, Doris Wiley and Debra Owen; nieces, Christina Falk and Courtney Wiley; nephews, Justin Falk and C.J. Wiley.

David is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Melody Owen; sister, Dora Falk; brother-in-law, Kenneth Falk; and niece, Pamela Falk.

Memorial Service to be held on Friday, August 21st at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta. Burial to take place at the Winfield Veteran Cemetery at 2 p.m.
