Danny O'Neil Burkett, 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Danny was born on Tuesday, September 6, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas to Monroe and Dorothy (Clutters) Burkett. Danny worked as a welder for Dallas Welding in Glasgow, KY and as a roofer/laborer for Larry Walty Roofing in Andover, KS. Danny enjoyed fishing, restoring vintage trucks and was an avid reader. He loved a good cold beer and listening to country music.

Danny is survived by his children, Crystal Garrett of Andover, KS, Justin Burkett of Wichita, KS, Tyler Burkett of Kansas City, MO, Jennifer (Jon) Nguyen of Andover, KS, Leslie Cossey of Lansing, KS, Breanna (Jason) Fenno of Augusta, KS, and Megan Burkett of Tompkinsville, KY; siblings, Judy (Robert) Carrow of Topeka, KS, Patricia (Dennis) Perkins of Arkansas, Johnny Staten and Ronnie Staten both of Arkansas, and Elsie Anderson, of Tompkinsville, KY; grandchildren, Courtney, McKinley, Abigail, Grace, Greyson, Dawson, and Jaxson; 3 great-grandchildren.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lola Lee, Linda Walty, and Thelma Burkett; brothers, Charles Burkett and Troy Burkett.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 5th from 1-3 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made out to Dunsford Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
