Boone, Daniel L., 71 retired Cessna Aircraft employee, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 7, 2012.

Daniel was born on March 6, 1941, to Myron and MarDell (Williams) Boone in Neal, Kansas. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1959 and attended Butler County Community College. He married Peggy Whiteside on September 2, 1960, in Augusta.

Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home; sons, Keith Boone (Avis Wagoner) of Wichita, Terry Boone of El Dorado, Kansas, David (Tammy) Boone of Bradenton, Florida and Corey (Angie) Boone of Cheney, Kansas; daughter, Michele (Robert) McClaflin of Arkansas City, Kansas; brother, Russell Boone of Augusta; sisters, Okema (Don) Fowler of El Dorado and Mona (Warren) Calvin of Cambridge, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 11, from 1-6 p.m. and visitation with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. both at Dunsford Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 925 Douglas Road, El Dorado, Kansas 67042. Interment to follow in Neal Cemetery in Neal, Kansas.

Memorials have been established with Temple Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
