Obituary

Christy Sue Halliburton, 68, unexpectedly slipped away into the loving arms of Jesus on June 3, 2022.

Christy was born on Saturday, January 23, 1954 in Wichita, KS to Frank and Barbara (Dalrymple) Main.

Christy's greatest joy in life was her children and she lovingly cared for many children as she was an in-home childcare provider for several years. Christy was a great cook, an exceptional baker, and enjoyed decorating and celebrating others. She enjoyed music, arts/crafts, sewing and making things for others such as bible covers, placemats, clothes, costumes, unicorn lamps, pillows, and stick ponies for the children. Christy loved animals and cared for parrots, cats, and dogs during her lifetime. Christy had a green thumb with her house plants, which were always kept green, healthy and shiny. Everything Christy did was with so much heart that anyone could feel her love and warmth through not just her loving eyes and her smile, but through just one of her hugs; they experienced it through her cooking and baking, and would see it in her arts and crafts. Christy did not speak ill of others and she did not complain. Christy had nothing but love and kindness to show and give to those who were so blessed to have known her.

Christy is survived by ex-husband, Jeffrey Halliburton and their three children of which include daughters, Janell (Ryan) Van Dever and Jennifer (Travis) Halliburton-Rice, and son, Jason Halliburton; grandchildren, Vanessa and Austin Edris, Ashley and Jacob Ewing, Haley and Katelynn Mashburn, Eric and Nathan Halliburton, Landon Kern, Travis Rice, Jr., Jace and Jordan Van Dever; sisters, Janice Kissire and Teresa (Lance) Springfield.

Christy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond and David Main; sister, Donna Mascorro.

A private Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held in Christy's honor at a later date when all of her children are able to attend; please reach out to her children for details.
