Ingold, Chester Herman, 94, passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Chester was born June 1, 1918, to Herman and Martha "Marie" (Boucher) Ingold in Augusta. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1936 and served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Chester married Hilma A. McCune on February 1, 1940, in Rose Hill, Kansas. They were married 51 years. Chester retired from Mobil Oil Company as a distillation operator in 1983.
His survivors include his son, Clifford Ingold of Harper, Texas; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Butch Haag of Augusta; brothers, and their wives, Cecil and Martha Ingold of Rose Hill, and Wesley and Mona Ingold of Augusta; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse Hilma Ingold in 1991; sister Willa Marie Henderson, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 30, from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service on Monday, April 1, at 1:00 p.m. both in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
