Obituary

Augusta – Charles Alfred Walther, 76, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

Charles was born on Saturday, January 1, 1944 in Port Angles, Washington to Louis James and Sarah E. (Belford) Walther.  Charles graduated from Wichita East High School in 1964 and then attended college.  He married Charlene Moore in May of 1990 in Wichita.  Charles had worked as a CNC Operator and Crew Chief for Beech Aircraft for over 40 years.  He had served his country in the Army Reserves.  He loved to do wood carving, farming, and he also taught Sunday school.

Charles is survived by his wife Charlene of the home; children Phillip (Becky) Walther of Wichita, Kristina (Doug) Downs of Goddard, Damon (Kendra) Walther of Wichita, Michael (Cindy) Jacobsen of Las Angeles, California, Robert Jacobsen of Wichita; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lynn Walther.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 7 th at 2:00pm at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Good Shepherd Hospice, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
