Mr. Charles E. "Chuck" Fowler, Jr., age 64, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on November 8, 2025, in his hometown of El Dorado. Born on February 15, 1961, in El Dorado, Chuck was a lifelong resident of Kansas and Nebraska. He graduated from Circle High School in Towanda, KS in 1979.

Right out of high school, for over a decade, Chuck worked as a professional mover. He also worked as a pipefitter and roustabout in the refineries and oil fields around El Dorado. Looking for more opportunities, he moved to Nebraska, where he mastered the art of welding while working in ethanol plants. Combined with his many years of pipefitting he was a natural and spent many years as a crew foreman, helping design and build many corn/ethanol refineries throughout Nebraska.

Chuck's life was defined by adventure and a fearless spirit. He had a passion for motor sports. As a kid he started off riding "dirt" bikes at a very young age. Soon after he fell in love with jet skiing—and competed in numerous events where he showcased his acrobatic talents and daredevil stunts. He could literally ride a jet ski doing a headstand. His skill and showmanship earned him many awards and the admiration of fellow enthusiasts. He also loved racing his midget race cars at the dirt tracks on weekends. He had a passion and won many awards for building and showing custom motorcycles, fast cars and Jeep 4X4's, reflecting his zest for speed and excitement. Whether carving waves on his jet ski or cruising down the highway on a Harley Davidson, Chuck embraced every opportunity to chase adrenaline and live life to the fullest.

Chuck was a man of character who met challenges head-on and took pride in all he accomplished. Those who knew him will remember not only his adventurous nature but also the strength and determination that defined him.

Chuck is survived by his sons, Emory Fowler of Kechi, Kansas along with 4 grandchildren, and Christopher "Levi" Fowler of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Christy Fry of Wichita, along with 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; his mother, Melba Anderson of El Dorado; and his father, Charles E. Fowler, Sr., of Topeka. He is also survived by siblings Dorothy (Troy) Cooper of El Dorado; Tricia Wiebe of Topeka; Lorene Baker of El Dorado; Ray (Trina) Wyman of Andover; and Vicky Thyer of Overland Park. Chuck leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who will carry forward memories of Chuck's vibrant spirit.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and a nephew, Tristen Phillips.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, November 22nd at 10 a.m. at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado, KS.
