Sloderbeck, Carolyn Gale (Frye), 65, retired bookkeeper for the Insurance Center in El Dorado, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at her home.

Carolyn was born July 5, 1946, in Waynesville, Missouri to Gale and Hattie (Warren) Frye. She attended Augusta Schools and graduated with the class of 1964, and then attended Wichita Business College. On November 19, 1966, Carolyn married Jack Eugene Sloderbeck, Jr. in Augusta.

Her survivors include her husband Jack, Jr. of the home; son Jack (Linda) Sloderbeck, III of Mayhill, New Mexico; daughter Amy (Derek) Edwards of Cibolo, Texas; mother Hattie Frye of Augusta; sister Kathryn (Steve) Zlomke of Augusta; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father Gale Frye.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 23, at Haverhill Christian Church, 10275 SW Haverhill Road at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in procession to Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.

Memorials have been established with Haverhill Christian Church or Hospice Care of Kansas both in care of the funeral home.
