Carolyn Louise Price, of Augusta, Kansas, moved to her new home in Heaven that Christ the Savior prepared for her on May 28, 2026.
She was born November 23, 1937 in El Dorado, Kansas to Clovis and Gladys Cash of Augusta. She attended Augusta schools and graduated in 1955 from Augusta High School. She was nine years old when she made the most important decision of her life to accept Jesus Christ's gift of eternal life and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Carolyn's education was continued at Ottawa University where she made lifelong friends. She then attended the University of Kansas graduating with honors in 1959 with a degree in Secondary Education- Language Arts. She enjoyed teaching in Garden City, De Soto, and Augusta, Kansas.
In 1962, she married Billie Orville Price whom she met on a blind date in Augusta. They had two sons, David Price and John Price.
Carolyn was active at First Baptist Church serving on many committees, teaching Sunday School and with mission promotions, something she felt very strongly about. She enjoyed her membership in Junior Forum Club that she started attending in 1968, and also Augusta Book Club, as she was an avid reader. Carolyn volunteered at the Augusta Historic Theater, Historical Society, Caring Center, Meals on Wheels, PTA and Augusta Wrestling Club. She was happiest when she could serve or assist someone in any way. She loved traveling, reading, growing flowers, celebrating Christmas and being with her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Gladys Cash, sister, Jo Janette Casey, and her husband, Bill Price.
She is survived by her two sons, David Price and his wife Deborah, along with their sons, Josiah, Justin, and Jarrett of Yukon, Oklahoma; John Price and his wife Kristine along with their children, Luke and Tricia Price of Springdale, Arkansas, Sarah, Sam, and Maria of Augusta, Kansas; her nieces, Nancy and Kent Hartman of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lisa and Brad Bowman of Houston, Texas, Karen and Harold Fickett of Roswell, Georgia and nephew, Jeff and Barbara Price of Edmond, Oklahoma including numerous great-nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Friday June 5th from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Funeral services will be Saturday June 6th at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Augusta. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery.
The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to First Baptist Church, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
