Atchison, Bruce Edgar, 84, retired grocery department manager, passed away peacefully in his home on, Sunday, March 28, 2010.

Bruce was born in Anthony, Kansas to Charlie and Florella (Bailey) Atchison on January 10, 1926. He served in the US Army during WWII and married Louise Conde on July 18, 1948 in Pratt. They were divorced in 1970.

Bruce is survived by his three daughters Susan George (David Warr), Patti (Ed) Mora and Cynthia Atchison (Jody Davis) all of Wichita; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Carmen Brown, Betty Nash; step-sister Beth and his dog "Buffy".

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Steven Bruce Atchison and a sister Carol Cavanaugh.

A memorial graveside service with full military honors will be held, Friday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Mission Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
