Hutter, Betty, Louise (Wilson), 86, passed away peacefully at her son and daughter-in-laws home on Sunday, September 18, 2011.
Betty was born September 6, 1925, to George "Edgar" and Pearl Marie (Quillen) Wilson in Wichita, Kansas. She married Joseph Henry Hutter on May 29, 1943, in Augusta. Betty was a homemaker and also managed the Christmas Department for David's, Inc. Some of Betty's favorite hobbies included fishing, camping and boating.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Diana Hutter of Augusta; her daughter and son-in-law Merry Lou and Dennis Gumm of Douglass, Kansas; brother Eddie (Janice) Wilson; sisters Donna Marshall and Mary (Carroll) Easton all of Augusta. Four grandchildren Amy. Laurie, Cara and Tori; eight great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; brother Carl Smith; three sisters Eleanor Crowder, Fern Pray and an infant sister Marie Smith.
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, September 23. Visitation with family greeting friends will be from 5-7 p.m. also on Friday both at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Christmas Fund at the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, Kansas 67010 or in care of the funeral home.
