Betty Jean Hiser, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Betty was born on Friday, May 16, 1941 in Seneca, Nebraska to Charles and Anna (Farrow) Edelman.

Betty was united in marriage to Volney "Richard" Hiser on July 17, 1959 in Oklahoma. They were married for over 55 years until Richard's passing in 2015. Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidery, cooking, and spending time with her family. The family motto was "We always have a good time".

Betty is survived by children, Niki (Bruce) Gass, Richard (Ratree) Hiser, Michael Hiser, Steven (Tanya) Hiser, Terry (Joelle) Hiser, Tim Hiser, and Christy (Richard) Wilson; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Nelson, Mary (Stan) Ebling, Kenneth (Keitha) Edelman, William (Wendy) Rogers and Judy Adams.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Raymond Edelman, Letha Thompson, Diane Adams.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 10th from 5-7 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Augusta. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
