Barbara Ann (Baker) Wray, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Barbara was born on Wednesday, February 9, 1944 in Dodge City, Kansas to Byron Ray Jr. and Marjorie Eileen (Norton) Baker.
Barbara was united in marriage to Joe Wray in 2001 and was a great step-mom to his two surviving children, Tamara Jo (Wray) Spangler and Troy Dean Wray.
Barbara worked as a an Executive Assistant for most of her career, leaving it behind to assist her husband's career path in the airplane tool business.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, gardening, and the racetrack life that her and Joe operated. She loved when Grandchildren or just children in general visited! Barbara loved sunshine, swimming, her furry family like (Angel). She loved God and life itself. She wanted everyone to be as happy as she was and it showed with that loving smile she wore.
Barbara is survived by her step-daughter, Tamara Jo (Wray) Spangler; step-son, Troy Dean Wray; her loving sister-in-law, Donna Baker (Wife to the late Byron Baker III); grandchildren, Courtney Jo (Spangler) Morris, Jacob Wray, and Sheldon Sharp; and many step-great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Byron Baker III, Jack Baker, and Eddie Baker.
Both Barbara and Joe's ashes will be taken back to Tennessee to the land that is most special to the family.
The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Kansas Humane Society, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
