Barbara Ann Ehret, 93, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Barbara was born on Sunday, February 26, 1933 in Augusta, Kansas to George and Lola (Arnold) Chappell.

Barbara was united in marriage to Merle Duane Ehret on September 10, 1948. They were married for 70 years until Merle’s passing in 2019.

Barbara worked as a floral designer for Glover's Flowers in Roswell, New Mexico. She also worked at Walmart in the Garden Center.

Barbara enjoyed sewing Barbie clothes and collecting Barbies. She would also sew quilts for every new baby in the family. Barbara was very crafty.

Barbara is survived by daughters, Deborah Knight of Augusta, Marcie and husband, Dennis Louton of Albuquerque, NM, and Valerie and husband, Martin Maleport of Augusta; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle; son, George Ehret; sister Betty McCelland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 12th at 1:00 p.m. both at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Alzheimer's Association , left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
