Ternes, Audrey Louise (Marcotte), 77, retired LPN at St. Joseph Medical Center entered into a celebration of her new life with Jesus and her family that have gone on before her in faith on Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Audrey was born on July 28, 1934, to Otride and Virginia Marcotte in Alexandria, Louisiana, She was joined in marriage with Robert Ternes, Sr. for 28 years, divorced, yet remained friends. Audrey was 40 years old, when she returned to school and became a LPN. She had a heart full of compassion to care for the hurting and infirmed. She was employed and retired from St. Joseph Medical Center after 28 years of service. In her life Audrey was active in Eucharistic Ministries at St. Mary's Cathedral and Adoration Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton.

Audrey is survived by her children Robert "Terry" (Annette) Ternes of Clovis, New Mexico, John Paul Ternes of Goddard, Susan (Spence) Atha of Wichita; brother Paul (Peggy) Marcotte of Alexandria, Louisiana; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren;

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert, Sr.; children John B. and Elaine.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, both at The Church of the Magdalen, 12626 East 21st Street, North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.

Memorials have been established with The Church of the Magdalen or The Lord's Diner, 520 North Broadway, Wichita, Kansas 67214, or in care of the funeral home.

In this physical life...we are all on a journey. How wonderful to have the Son of God walking beside you, and sometimes in the cradle of his arms carrying you. We love you mom. God bless and goodbye for now...
