Arthur L. Tenbrink, 79, retired BetzDearborn and General Electric water process engineer and field manager, passed away June 25, 2025, after a year and a half battle with cancer.

Art was born January 5, 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Arthur H. and Elizabeth J. (Durant) Tenbrink, and was the oldest of eight children.

Art was a 1964 graduate of Chaplain Kapaun Memorial High School in Wichita, Kansas, a 1969 graduate of Wichita State University and was a lifetime member of the WSU Alumni Association. After retirement, Art became a member of the city of Bel Aire utility Advisory Committee.

Art was preceded by the death of his wife of 44 years, Ernestine; parents; siblings; Mike, Bonnie and Tom Tenbrink, sister-in-law, Mary Tenbrink and grandson Brandon Powell.

Surviving siblings are Jordan (Linda), Patrick, Anthony (Mary Beth), and Louis (Laurie) Tenbrink. Surviving daughters are Elizabeth (Stan) Dagel of rural Towanda, Kansas and Vanessa (Gerry) Randolph of Bel Aire. Surviving sons are Steve (Dawn) Powell of rural Mulvane, Kansas, and Arthur (Shannon) Tenbrink of Rosehill, Kansas. Surviving grandchildren are CaRessa (Greg) Hutchinson, Sierra (Mike) Becker, Amber (Tanner) Smith, Allison Randolph, Ashlee (Brandon) McClain, Kayla (Austin) Alden, Abby Tenbrink, Dane and Seth Swearengin and Luke Perrin. Surviving great-grandchildren are McKenzie Dagel, Chase and Riley Hutchinson, Izzy, Aria and Deacon Becker and Fealynn McClain. Close friends who survive are Tom James, Bob Matreci, Jim Gordon, Gale Ervin and Steve Clavin.

There is no service at Art's request. Burial will be private and by immediate family members.
