Anna Marie Powell, 90, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Anna was born on Friday, January 27, 1933 in Winfield, Kansas to Edward and Anna (Kamphause) Spresser. Anna was united in marriage to Newman Boyd Powell on April 6, 1974. They were married for 30 years until his passing on April 6, 2004. Anna worked with Newman for their flooring company, Boyd Powell Floor Covering, for many years. Anna enjoyed spending her time fishing, camping, boating, going to the casino, and raising cattle. Most of all she loved her church, her family, spending time with her grandkids, and her dogs.

Anna is survived by her children, Richard (Debbie) Brill of Mulvane, Lynda McDade of Winfield; Cheryl (Andy) Spires of El Dorado; grandchildren, Jennifer King, Shane Spires, Christina Spires, Kimberly McDade, and Jessica Carey; great-grandchildren, Chastian, Amelia, Eloise, Preston, Skyanna, and Kai; Sister, Norma Reeves.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Charles (Bernice) Spresser, brother-in-law, Jim Reeves; grandson, Kevin McDade.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta. Funeral Mass to follow starting at 10:30 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made out to St. James Catholic Church, left in care of Dunsford Funeral Home.
