Obituary

Angela "Angie" Marie Rash, 55, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Angie was born on Sunday, March 10, 1968, in Liberal, Kansas to Jerry and Peggy (King) Rash. Angie was the second child and completed the Rash family. Her brother Zeke was born just two years before her. Angie was an incredible daughter and sister who did all the boy things and eventually became an outstanding softball player. Angie was not just athletic as she was once featured as a model in a teen magazine.

Angie graduated high school in 1986 and soon completed her medical coding certificate. She worked in that field for over ten years. Later in life, Angie was a caregiver to her dad and spent countless hours taking care of his household. Angie also spent a great deal of time with her mom, especially shopping for sweets.

Angie had a passion for animals and especially loved dogs and cats. She would often bring a stray dog or cat home to her mom and dad's surprise. Most of the time, the stray pet stayed! Angie also loved her family and always had a soft spot for her grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and great-nephews. Angie was very proud of her family and would tell anyone all about them.

Angie is survived by her mother, Peggy Rash; brother, Zeke Rash (Charity Rash); nieces, Crysta Sherbon (Jerry Sherbon), Courtney Clark (Kaleb Clark), Hannah Tracy (Ryan Tracy); nephew, Kory Rash; aunts, Jayne Knight, Marlene Poole, Patsy Marcotte; and uncles Jack Rash, Jon Rash, Bill Rash, Bruce Rash, and Chuck King.

Angie is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Rash; uncles, Jim Rash and Larry Rash; grandparents, Lloyd Rash, Louise Rash, Chuck King, and Marietta King.
