El Dorado - Alva "David" McNew, 81, passed away on May 14, 2017.

David was born on December 29, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to Alva and Geneva (Lacy) McNew.  On November 3, 1956, David married Delores Wilson in Wichita, Kansas.   They were married for 60 years.  David had previously worked as a Minister and had started and planted many churches.  He was a member and former president of the Wichita Retired Business Men's Association.  He loved classic cars, fixing cars, collecting sports memorabilia and was good with his hands.

David is survived by his wife Delores of the home, sons James David McNew of El Dorado, Jeremy Vance (Sharon) McNew of Wichita, John Lee (Jennifer) of Augusta; brother James Donovan (Pat) McNew of Denver, CO; cousin Clay Lacy of Van Nyes, CA; grandchildren Joshua, Aaron, Aubrey, Krystal, Timothy and William; 6 great-grandchildren; aunt Kathryn Ralston of Wichita.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 1501 State Street, Augusta, Kansas 67010.
