Legleiter, Alice (Dechant), 98, retired Augusta Hospital Food Service employee passed away, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Andover Court Assisted Living.

Alice was born June 16, 1912 in Antonino, Kansas to Joseph and Anna (Speier) Dechant. She married Wendlin Legleiter on May 26, 1931 in Liebenthal, Kansas.

Survivors include her son and his wife LaVern and Joyce Legleiter of Independence, Kansas; brother Walter Dechant of Hays, Kansas; sisters Stella VonFeldt of Denver, Colorado and Mabel Riedel of Hays, Kansas; 4 grandchildren Debra Lutz, Lonnie Legleiter, Tina Monier and Lea Paine; eight great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be held Wednesday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Thursday, November 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta. Interment at 1:30 p.m. in Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 North Maize Road in Wichita.
