Alana Nadine "Dene" Martindale, 70, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 6 ^th , 2018.

Nadine was born on September 17 ^th , 1947 in Salina to Victor and Lela (Garst) Deegan.  She married her loving husband, Robert Wayne Martindale on September 1 ^st , 1965 and recently celebrated their 52 ^nd anniversary.  They spent the next several years traveling the globe while Robert served in the Air Force.  In 1979, the two moved to Wichita and then later made their permanent home in Augusta in 1981.  Nadine spent many years in the service industry in Augusta before becoming a full-time homemaker in 1988.  Along the way she made many friends, created many smiles, played "mom" to too many to count and always brought joy to everyone she encountered.  Nadine enjoyed every aspect of life, always joking in the funniest ways, and lived life to the fullest.  She was lovingly known as "Mema" to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert W. Martindale of Augusta;  her sons Robby (Christina) Martindale, Randy (Debbie) Martindale, and Ricky (Felicia) Martindale; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers Alan Deegan of Junction City, Dennis Deegan of Eureka; sister Rhonda Syrna of Salina.  She will be forever missed.  We all know she is now peacefully resting in the Heavens.

Nadine was proceeded in death by her parents Victor Deegan and Lela Brock, and her beloved brother Gary Deegan.

Family will be having a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 12 ^th , at Life Church, 7070 SW 160 ^th St in Augusta.  A celebration of life will be held after the service at the home of Ricky Martindale, 3404 Quail Dr., Augusta.  All family and friends are welcome to join.
