Obituary

Ada Kay Stockton, 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on August 28, 2018. Ada was born on May 9, 1942 in Tina, Missouri to Robert Thomas and Alta (Whitacre) Culbertson. She married Clyde Edward Stockton on Nov. 12, 1983 in Hale, Missouri.


Ada co-owned and operated Stockton Memorials for 30+ years with her late husband Clyde. She was a pastor's wife for 35 years. Ada loved her church, her children and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.


Ada is survived by her children Ronnie and Autumn Painter Jr. of Hale, MO, Phillip and Tammy Painter of Andover, KS, Danny and Jennifer Painter of Augusta, KS; Jeanette and Jim Frock of Brunswick, MO, Rebecca and Larry Nichols of Augusta, KS; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Doug Culbertson of Carrolton, MO; Robert Culbertson Jr of Afton, IA; Lannie Culbertson of Hale, MO; and Gary Culbertson and Rhonda Bennett both of Chillicothe, MO.


Ada was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, and her sister Karen Cooper.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1 st at 10 a.m., at the Victory Worship Center, 1924 Dearborn in Augusta, KS. Graveside service following at Elmwood Cemetery also in Augusta.


Memorial contributions in honor of Ada can be made to the Missions to Mexico or Susan G. Komen Foundation, left in care of the Funeral Home.
