Ada Marjorie (Seeber) Maness, 89, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016.

Ada was born March 23, 1927, to Hosea and Jessie Pearl (Berry) Seeber in Opolis, Kansas. Ada was united in marriage to Roy Maness on April 15, 1947 in Pineville, Arkansas. She worked as a homemaker/farmwife and then spent 10 years working for Beech Aircraft. She raised hogs and tended to her garden. She loved to fix up old houses and then rent them out.

Her survivors include her children James Maness of Wichita, Ella Stanhope of Wichita, Ron Maness and wife Bev of Wichita, John Maness and wife Wilma of New Orleans, LA, Bertha Maness West and husband James of Douglass, Lucky Maness and wife Debra of Leon, Rick Maness and wife Kathlene of Andover; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy in 1981, son-in-law Dean Stanhope, great-grandson Logan Brandt, sons Steve and Frank Maness, 8 brothers and sisters, and grandson Shawn Maness.

Visitation with family will be Wednesday, August 17, from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. both at the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Family has requested that everyone be in casual wear. Interment will follow the service at Leon Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with the Amedisys Hospice, left in care of the funeral home.
