Ada Lee (Orr) Helmer, 83, passed away Feb. 3, 2018 at LakePoint Assisted Living in Augusta.

Ada was born Jan. 29, 1935 in El Dorado, KS to Fred and Georgia Orr, the youngest of five children. She married LaVerne M. Helmer Sept. 6, 1953. He passed away in 2006.

Ada was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent cook, master seamstress and avid reader. She and Vern enjoyed home remodeling projects and travelling throughout the United States.

Survivors include children Kym Dickey, Kay and Mike Fuller all of Augusta; Sam and DeAna Helmer of Victoria, TX; grandchildren Ryan Dickey, Seth and Caryn Dennett, Chelsea and Nathan Hoshaw, Zachary, Hannah and Sarah Helmer; great-grandchildren Eli, Dane and Lincoln.

Great-grandson Abel, preceded her in death.

Inurnment will be held at Sunset Lawns Cemetery this Spring.
